I don't recall seeing street performers in Puerto Rico but the Paseo de la Princesa near the cruise ship docks (pictured above) in Old San Juan is a very lively area full of venders, music and dancing. You may want to contact the Chamber of Commerce in Puerto Rico to get more information.

In reply to John. Hi John, and thank you! I'm not familiar with any of the tour companies located in San Juan. I do know that you can obtain a self-guided walking tour map and brochures at the tourist information center in La Casita. You will find it located near the cruise ship dock in Old San Juan. They can also answer any questions you may have about the area. We have always done the self-guided walking tours and also made great use of the free trolley service. You can hop on and off of the trolley at any of the marked stops along their 3 different routes in Old San Juan. Have a great trip and a very Merry Christmas!

Great article and very useful as well.. I am traveling on Christmas and will be there until the 29th. Do you recommend any walking tours that will provide us with a local insight to San Juan? Also are there any free walking tours available in San Juan?

Hi Sarah, the trolley service in Old San Juan is free and makes frequent stops so you will be able to enjoy the sights, shopping and restaurants in Old San Juan pretty much as you please. Staying at Sheridan,old sanjuan 1/25/2016 and 1/26/ leaving on a cruise on the 27 tbhey said there are trolly by the hotel where do they take you what is the furthest place they go. Thank you
